College of Santa Fe Moving Images Dept. Receives $1 million State Grant

May 13, 2005 - Today Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico announced, during a press conference held at the Greer Garson Center, a $1 Million grant to be given to the College of Santa Fe Moving Images Dept. The grant will be used to help the college provide training and infrastructure to further develop New Mexico's burgeoning film industry.

Biodiesel Benz - Converting a Diesel Car to Run Vegetable Oil

Lyle Pearl of Santa Fe recently converted his 1980 Mercedes Benz diesel to run on waste vegetable oil collected from restaurants. I got together with him and another friend to take some photos and write this story about the conversion. It chronicles the process involved, as well as background info and web resources for biodiesel and waste vegetable oil as an alternative fuel.
